Hi, I’m Ariana Roberson — Dog Trainer, Behavior Consultant, and owner of Pawsitive Results Dog Training & Behavior. For over 14 years, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments, and behavioral backgrounds, specializing in obedience training, fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, and real-world behavioral challenges through relationship-based, humane training. Growing up, soccer was a huge part of my life and identity. After tearing my ACL in high school, I found myself going through a difficult period where I felt lost and unsure of where I was headed. Around that same time, my mom and I began volunteering at the humane society in Yakima, Washington — an experience that completely changed my life. I found myself naturally drawn toward the dogs others often overlooked: the fearful dogs, the reactive dogs, the shut-down dogs, and the ones who struggled to trust. Long before I understood formal dog training, I intuitively understood the importance of trust, communication, and relationship. That experience sparked a deep passion for understanding behavior — not just what dogs were doing, but why. Over time, I became fascinated by how fear, stress, environment, instinct, emotional state, and communication all shape behavior and learning. As I continued working with dogs and eventually entered professional training, my perspective also expanded to the human side of the leash. At first, my heart was almost entirely focused on helping the dogs. But over time, I realized many owners weren’t failing their dogs — they were overwhelmed, discouraged, confused, or simply lacking guidance and support. Helping the dog also meant helping the human. Today, one of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping people feel more confident, capable, educated, and understood as they learn alongside their dog. I believe lasting progress happens when both the dog and the owner feel supported through the process. My approach is rooted in compassion, structure, honesty, and clear communication. I believe training should feel collaborative, not intimidating, and that lasting progress happens when both dogs and humans feel more understood, capable, and connected moving forward together. Clients often describe my approach as calm, thoughtful, patient, and supportive. Whether I’m helping a reactive dog build confidence, guiding a new puppy owner, or navigating more complex behavioral challenges, my goal is always to create practical, sustainable progress while strengthening the relationship between dogs and their people.
