Whether you're welcoming home a new puppy, navigating behavioral challenges, or simply hoping to better understand your dog, private training is designed around the individual dog standing in front of us.
You don't need to know exactly what your dog needs before we meet.
We begin by understanding where you and your dog are today, then determine the level of support most likely to help you move forward.

Every private training pathway begins with a comprehensive assessment.
We'll discuss your goals, explore your dogs history, observe what's happening, and identify initial priorities. Afterward, you'll receive a personalized written recap with my observations and recommendations.
The assessment gives us a starting point. Follow-up sessions allow us to put that understanding into practice, observe how your dog responds, and adjust the plan as we learn more.

CONTINUED SUPPORT
Lasting change develops across time, not during a single conversation or lesson.
Each session gives us an opportunity to observe how your dog is responding, strengthen what's beginning to work, and adjust anything that isn't carrying into everyday life.
After every visit, you'll receive a personalized recap connecting what we observed, what we practiced, why it matters, and what to focus on next. These recaps support the work between sessions, while our time together allows us to continue coaching, observing, and adapting the process as your dog changes.
If questions come up between visits, you're always welcome to reach out for clarification or help making small adjustments.
TRAINING PATHWAYS
Every private training pathway begins with a comprehensive assessment.
If you already know you'd like ongoing support, you can select a pathway from the beginning and your assessment will be included. If you're not ready to choose, you may begin with the assessment and decide afterward.
If you continue into a pathway, the full $175 assessment fee is applied toward your investment. I'll help you choose the level of support that best reflects your goals and your dog's needs.

Where we meet may change throughout the pathway as your dog becomes ready to practice in new situations.
Assessment includes all household dogs.

Travel is included within my standard service area.
A small travel fee may apply beyond that and will always be confirmed before booking.
If we meet at another location, we'll choose one based on your dog's needs and the goals of the session.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What support is available between sessions? You're always welcome to reach out between visits. You can ask questions, respond to your recap, share observations, send photos or videos, and let me know about wins or changes you're noticing at home. I genuinely value hearing how things are going because your feedback helps me understand what is carrying over into everyday life. I can offer clarification, help you make small adjustments, and guide you through questions that come up as you apply what we've worked on. If something requires more observation, hands on coaching, or a significant change to the plan, we can make it a focus during our next session.
What if our schedule needs change during a pathway? If either of us needs to reschedule a planned session, it will be moved to the next available day that works for both of us. Vacations and other known scheduling needs can be planned around when we schedule your pathway. Weather may require us to change the location or focus of a session, or move it to another day. You will receive every session included in your pathway, and the completion timeframe will be adjusted when scheduling changes create a necessary delay. Pathways cannot be paused or left open indefinitely. If you are unable to continue, stop responding, or do not reschedule your remaining visits within the completion timeframe, unused sessions may be forfeited. An extension may be available for an additional fee and will depend on my current availability.
How often will we meet? Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or every other week, depending on your dog's progress, your goals, and what we're working on. Because pathways are designed as a connected process, sessions are completed within the following timeframes: Foundation Pathway: within 10 weeks Progress Pathway: within 14 weeks Comprehensive Pathway: within 18 weeks We'll schedule your sessions when you begin so you have consistent support and protected availability throughout the pathway.
Do you offer payment plans? Yes. Payment plans are available for private training pathways. Payment amounts and due dates will be agreed upon before your pathway begins. Each installment must be paid by its scheduled due date for sessions to continue as planned. All payments already made are nonrefundable.
